Deleting your data — Safer Browser

Safer Browser has no user accounts. This is how to delete what the app keeps on your phone, and how to ask us to delete your requests.

On your phone

• History, cookies and site data: menu ⋮ → "Clear browsing data".
• Everything the app keeps: Android Settings → Apps → the browser → Storage → "Clear data", or uninstall the app.

Your requests on our server

Reports and requests you sent ("My requests") are kept with a random ID of your installation.

• In the browser: "My requests" → ⋮ → "Delete all requests". They are deleted at once from the device and from Safer's server, with their addresses, screenshots, page content, notes and messages.
• If you already uninstalled the app: write to [email protected] with "delete my requests", when you sent them and about which sites. We find them, delete them within 30 days and confirm by e-mail.

What stays, and why

• What was decided because of your requests: a site opened or blocked, a video approved or blocked. These decisions apply to everyone and don't record who asked.
• The installation ID: kept without any content, only to limit load and block abuse.
• Picture check results, video IDs and site names: stored without any link to you, so we can't find them by your device. See the privacy policy, section 3.
